Examining the Skull of a Hooded Seal.
The Museum's zoology collections are quite extensive, and representative of the remarkable fauna of the Newfoundland and Labrador region.
Included are mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and most groups of land, freshwater and marine invertebrates [ie. "animals without backbones"].
Particular noteworthy are the Museum's major collections of land, freshwater and marine molluscs; and echinoderms [ie. starfishes, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and their relatives].
